February Faith Café to welcome Dana Rosemary Scallon as guest speaker

The Grandparents’ Faith Café will open again online on Tuesday 8 February.

The CGA is delighted to announce Dana Rosemary Scallon as guest speaker for February. She will speak on the theme of ‘The Joy of Love in Marriage and Family (especially in Grandparenting)’.

Dana Rosemary Scallon, known professionally as Dana, is an Irish singer and former politician who served as a Member of the European Parliament from 1999 to 2004. While still a schoolgirl she represented Ireland in the 1970 Eurovision Song Contest and won the title with “All Kinds of Everything”. Dana is the composer of the beautiful Lady of Knock hymn which anyone who has ever visited Knock Shrine will be very familiar with.

Commenting ahead of the February Faith Café, Catherine Wiley, CGA Founder said, “I am very much looking forward to welcoming Dana, a great friend of the CGA, to the February Faith Café. We have been blessed to have Dana with us many times at our National Pilgrimage to Knock Shrine and to have her sing her beautiful hymn for us. Dana is a very busy Grandmother these days and we look forward to listening to her speaking about that joy when she joins us on 8 February.”
