Our next Faith Cafe will be held on Tuesday 12th November

Guest Speaker: Father Lambert Ramos

Theme: “What I did for Love”

Fr Lambert was ordained a priest last June 1, 2018, 55 years after meandering through 2 seminaries namely San Carlos Seminary, where he obtained his philosophy degree and Loyola School of Theology, where he took up his theological studies. In between: regency, a happy marriage, 3 children, Master in Philosophy (Ateneo), Master in Business Economics(University of Asia and Pacific), Diplomate in Marketing Management (RVB Technological University of Delft, the Netherlands), successful domestic and international corporate career in various positions like Marketing Director, General Manager, CEO and President (Alaska Milk, General Milling, Jardines, Budweiser Beer, Hardiflex, Nextel among others), then wife’s cancer and subsequent demise. After a secular life as CEO in various companies, barking orders and fiats, he made a solemn promise to obey his bishop in all humility and obedience, not to mention celibacy and life simplicity! Talk about radical change in identity, lifestyle and mission!

Today, domiciled at the Shrine and Parish of Nuestra Señora delos Desamparados de Marikina  as Shrine Rector and Parish Administrator, Fr Lambert   sets up systems and processes for his parish to upgrade its management structure so as to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of the parish. For the Diocese of Antipolo to which he is incardinated, he is a member of the Diocesan Finance Council. Likewise Archbishop Gilbert Garcera, the bishop in charge of the Catholic Grandparents of the Philippines has designated him as the CGA’s Spiritual Director, his main credential being a real proud grandfather to two good looking grandchildren!

He has adopted the “value creation” processes obtained through years of leading the corporate life in the secular world.  This was further enhanched at  the Universita della Santa Croce, Roma, where he took the Program of Church Management. Fr Lambert has also been managing concurrently the  Solidaritas Credit Cooperative as CEO.

If most people are only allowed to respond once  to “the universal call to holiness”,  such as the  choice of a particular state of life in the church either as an ordained priest or be a good married man and father (with the chosen mission related to each state of life), Fr Lambert’s unique vocation and response has been to both. Both experiences as priest and married man and widower prepared him well to serve God through his church.
