Guest Speaker: Bishop Denis Nulty

Theme: “The lessons I learned from Gran Gran”

Bishop Denis Nulty was ordained Bishop of the Diocese of Kildare and Leighlin on 4th August 2013.

Denis Nulty was born in Slane, Co Meath on 7th June 1963 to parents Den Nulty & Nan Balfe. The youngest of five children who all grew up on the family farm.

Denis entered the seminary in St Patrick’s College, Maynooth in Septmeber 1981 and was ordained a priest for the Diocese of Meath on 12th June 1988. Following his priestly ordination Fr Denis served 10 years as curate in the Cathedral Parish, Mullingar. After this he was appointed Parish Priest of St Mary’s, Drogheda where he remained until his appointment as Bishop of the Diocese of Kildare and Leighlin.

Bishop Denis is the President of Accord Catholic Marriage Care Service CLG; Chairman of the Episcopal Commission for Pastoral Care; Chairman of the Council for Marriage and the Family; Member of the Council for Clergy.
