CGA Lent News

As we enter more deeply into this solemn season of Lent, we remember the great love Jesus showed to us by giving His life so that we might live. Let us also reflect on the joy, love and prayers Jesus received from his Holy Mother Mary and His earthly Grandparents, Saint Joachim and Saint Anne. This is the love I ask you to talk to your children and grandchildren about when you talk to them about Lent this year. Perhaps, instead of giving something up for Lent, ask them to select an act of love toward another person.

In today’s Gospel reflection, Bishop Robert Barron wrote, “We do not take our money, our social status, our worldly power into the next world; but we do take the quality of our love.”

How fortunate we are that we live in a time that we can share our good news with Grandparents all over the world just by the click of a button. Please know how much we appreciate and love all of you and all you do to promote our Mission of passing on our faith and keeping prayer at the heart of the family throughout the world.  The love you show to your families, and especially to your grandchildren is reflected in the pictures and stories of the attached  Lenten Newsletter. Please keep us in your prayers as you are in ours.

May the blessings of Saint Joachim and Saint Anne be with you and your families today and always.
